Dublin Street Art Celebrates Community Transition

St. Teresa’s Gardens Regeneration Board and Donore Credit Union in Dublin 8 were looking for a positive way to mark a community in transition following the demolition of the St. Teresa’s Gardens flats. They wished to mark this transition while drawing on the area’s unique sense of identity and place. Vanessa, working in collaboration with artist Garreth Joyce, was commissioned to create this mural with the iconic words of James Joyce from Finnegan’s Wake on a gable wall on Harman Street. The hand lettered mural encapsulates a nostalgic sense of change and recollection.
